North Upton Caravan and Campsite is situated about one mile from the village of Bantham on the South Devon coast. It is an idyllic spot and an excellent choice for a family holiday. The site has been managed by Tom and Lynne Gunning for the last 20 years and has a multitude of returning guests who have become family friends over the years (me included!).
The site looks out over the beautiful South Hams countryside to Dartmoor and if you are lucky you may even see the resident Buzzard that hunts right in front of you!.
Bantham is a sleepy village with thatched cottages leading down to the sea. Despite its peace and quiet Bantham is an ideal touring centre within half and hour's drive of Plymouth, Dartmouth and Dartmoor. Exeter and Cornwall take a little longer.
Bantham is the perfect base for walking and some lovely walks can be undertaken direct from the site or after a short drive. Salcombe and the Coastal Path are within ten miles. There are a number of local golf courses and both sea and river fishing are possible from Bantham. The sand dunes and Bantham beach provide the perfect setting for children to swim or search around the rock pools. The beach is also popular with surfers and windsurfers.
Once visited you will want to return time and time again!
